Aspects of reality the god has influence on

Symbol

Description

Grend is the formidable God of Conquest, revered and feared across many lands. He thrives on the chaos and triumph of battle, eternally seeking new realms to conquer. His presence is both a symbol of strength and a harbinger of relentless ambition. Grend’s influence can be seen in the rise and fall of empires, and his name is invoked by those who seek victory in war.

Aspects

Physical shapes the God may inhabit:

  1. The Warlord: A towering figure clad in ancient, battle-worn armor, wielding a massive sword that glows with an eerie, crimson light.
  2. The Beast: A colossal creature with metallic scales and fiery eyes, representing raw power and indomitable will.
  3. The Strategist: A hooded figure shrouded in shadows, known for his piercing gaze and the aura of cunning that surrounds him.
  4. The Tempest: A swirling vortex of energy, embodying the unstoppable force of nature’s fury.

Relationships

Grend’s relationships with other deities are complicated and often adversarial. He respects strength above all else but has little patience for those who oppose his ambitions or fail to meet his standards.

Worshipers

Grend’s followers are a diverse lot but share a common admiration for strength and conquest.

Dogma

  1. Might Makes Right: True power comes from strength; only through conquest can one achieve greatness.
  2. Relentless Pursuit: Never rest until your goals are achieved; complacency is death.
  3. Glory in Battle: Honor and glory are found on the battlefield; cowardice is unforgivable.

Holy Days

Day of Prowess - 12th Solra

Originally this day was spent in worship of Grend, by his followers. This often resulted in frenzied attacks.

As societies acclimatised to yearly attacks, they had all their military prowess ready on this day. As the attacks lessened, the military might started patrolling instead. In more modern times, this is now tradition. Through most towns and cities, military parades are held on this day to dissuade others from attacking.
